Moving forward means progress

So my last post was made while we were on our way to Lexington so 2LLz could do some colab work with some home grown artist we met in Frankfort.  That turned out to be a very productive day. I did what I do best, chilled out in this awesome ass bed chair all day and watched movies while work was bein put in. I was kinda disappointed because a friend of mine had to work all day so I was solo. But I made the best of it.  I think they got  a total of 3 or 4 songs done that day. Which is good for you because you're not only getting new music from Rmllw2llz,  but you're also bring exposed to some of the talent that Lexington has to offer.  Pictured below is Royce the Poet  Crutch and Rmllw2llz
Now i don't know if you follow Rmllw2llz or not on facebook or twitter, but it was posted the he was the feature artist on rapcine.com with jealous of my tape.  check out the site, if you haven't downloaded it yet, you are missin out. Jealous of my Tape download
Prior to jealous of my tape coming out, Rmll and were talking, and he was saying that he thinks this mixtape is going to do something big for him. Well, guess what? The energy you put out is what is going to come back to you, its called the law of attraction.  With that good energy being out out there, Rmll is now booked for half of Sept and all of Oct to perform at baxter ave morgue. If you're not familiar with Baxter ave morgue,  its one of the better haunted houses that Louisville has to offer. Every year they have dancers that break out in to the full length thriller video, and this year  Rmllw2llz has been asked to perform in between dances. How dope is that? He made some good impressions on some folks at the jealous of my tape release,  and now things are workin In his favor. this just goes to show, If you're moving forward, you're making progress. Big ups Rmllw2llz,  keep moving forward son, we got your back! Stay tuned, sign up for the email list if you haven't already, check out the site rmllmzk.com

Always in motion

Its saturday morning and while the world is sleeping in, im up cooking breakfast for 2llz, kenwood and myself before we ride out for the day. Were headed Lexington for the day so Rmll can do some recording with some cats we met at the show in Frankfort a few months ago. I love the fact that the music is opening doors to new areas and cities. We've never been to Lexington before so this will be a first for the both of us. Traveling grace while were on the road. To be continued..

The perks

I remember when Rmll first got RmllMzk.com up and runnining, he was constantly checking his stats. How many
Page views were there today? How did they find the site? Etc. Now I kinda find myself doing the same thing since my last post. After my Two in one year post, I had double the views to my blog. I thought that was dope. I know when I shared my post on facebook,  Rmll reposted it and between the two there were two likes total, so I wasn't expecting much as far as views goes.  I guess more people are tuning in to my point of view since they're digging the artist. So to whom ever is reading my blog, I appreciate you for stopping by,  feel free to leave a comment or even share this. Don't forget to drop by the site: rmllmzk.com Sign up for the email list, download some music or get some merchandise.  Your support on the blog, and the music is appreciated more than you know.

Two in one year

Sometimes words cant describe the emotion you experience. For me, proud doesnt even describe how i feel about Mr. Rmllw2llz. Jealous of my tape is the second Ep release that he has done this year. Ive been with this man for 8 years, and ever since ive known him he has been doing music. Its amazing to see the progress and development that he has done since being with him. When i first met Rmll, him and his friend were freestyling in front of my younger cousins choppin and screwin themselves.  (If you dont know what chop and screw is, google it) Now were traveling to different cities going to shows, hosting events, and throwing release parties. Hell he even has merchandise.

The Jealous of my Tape release party was something I will never forget. The venue was great, especially since it was changed last minute, the line up was bad ass, and the crowd was awesome.
Going to the shows for me is more than just being the performers hot wife. I am also here to assist in any way i can, therefore i get the merchandise table. This is something that I take pride in because I help keep the Rmllmzk brand lookin good.

Skull Avalanche opened up the mic for the night and they KILLED IT. Skull Avalanche consists of Touch AC and Nacirema. Both are dope as hell and put on a hell of a show. Their energy Is crazy on the stage
After Skull Avalanche, the  Smoke Shop Kids went on next. They are a full band that can do some bad ass funk hop type music. Ive seen them twice and they killed every time. From the guitars, to the drums, to the trombone,  they are live as hell. My cousin saw them for the first time, and she was blown away.
After the Smoke Shop Kids, went 345.. talk about gettin hype on the stage. Wow..
345 got the crowd mad hype, and put some good energy out for the man of the hour.
So instead of jumping right into Jealous of my Tape, Rmllw2llz did a couple of tracks off of Olde Coffee. One of my favorites include Fux with Me featuring  Ron Weaves. I be banging the hell out of that song.
From there, it was time to give the people what they wanted. Jealous of my Tape. I must say, this album goes so hard its rediculous. Like omg!! Dr. Dundiff killed this album, from the production, to the mastering, to Dj'ing his ass off during the show. The man is pure talent.
There is a song called how she dances about some chick with two left shoes. Idk who she is but i sure got my behind on stage and danced. I totally wasnt expecting that. But i sure loved it. ♥
Thank you to everyone that came and supported the Rmllmzk movement. Your love and support are appreciated more than you know. If you dont have Jealous of my Tape, go to romell.bandcamp.com/album/jealous-of-my-tape. Dont forget merchandise is available on rmllmzk.com as well. Enjoy

RMLLMZK IN THE BUILDIN!

Screenshot_2013-07-08-22-18-32

Well its been a minute since ive written here, guess being a wife of a musician and a mom had me a little distracted. Where to begin? Hmmm.... First and foremost, before you continue reading STOP!!! GO TO THE WEBSITE!!! RMLLMZK.COM The site is pretty dope hu? i know... i made it. Who am i kidding, i'm just the wife, i'm no web designer.

I guess the release of Olde Coffee is a great place to start... That dropped back in January at the Louisville Arts Live event, and that was a great start to the year. Ever since then, there has been an event to go to, websites being designed, or shows to perform at. February was mainly spent on getting the website together.. March we celebrated my birthday at a private event at a friends house. That was pretty dope, it was like my own private party. :) Screenshot_2013-07-08-22-15-55 Here i was able to see Common Collective for the first time, they were pretty  dope. Screenshot_2013-07-08-22-15-46

In April, we, (yes i said we) had back to back events in one weekend and a small road trip the next weekend.
One weekend there was a show with High Hat Entertainment  that i got to see Rmllw2llz and Ron Weaves perform Fux Wit Me, (which by the way is a free download on the site) and i got to see Skull Avalanche perform. Screenshot_2013-07-08-22-16-51
Then we went to Frankfort which is only about an hour away. Even though its only about an hour away, if that,  it was the first of many road trips that will be taken on this great journey. There Rmll performed at the Hustle and Flow 8 show.. that was fun Screenshot_2013-07-08-22-17-19
Screenshot_2013-07-08-22-18-05May consisted of a show back at solidarity and then at MaxwellSounds  1 year anniversary event. Here is where i was introduced to Soul River Brown. Now if you haven't heard of Soul River Brown you are so missing out. The guitar and the vocals.. ooohh weee!!
In June we made our way on down the highway again for another show, only this one was 6 hours away in Racine, Wi for the Juneteenth Celebration. Going to Racine is always a good time! Also in June:Picturewas born.. All up in my face, Jealous of my tape will be dropping soon!! A release party is in the making for this!! So if you got your copy of Olde Coffee and are ready for some more, make sure you are checking RMLLMZK on a regular! And if you haven't noticed, we now have Tees and vinyl decals available. The day after

So the mixtape release party was last night, and oh man! if you werent there you truly missed out!!!!! If you want to feel like apart of the hype you can go to ustream to watch the feed of the show. trust me, its worth going back and watching.

Now ive been to this venue before, but apparently i havent been through out the entire facility. When i walked into the show room during set up, i was surprised as to how big the place really was. normally with bigger venues, it doesnt seem like the crowds be as thick as they should be because everyone is spread out, but last night... even with people spread out, it was still a good ass turn out.
Rmll had two acts before him last night, one being Rockale Levone and the second being Cphr Dvn. Ive heard both perform before and they always put on a good show. Usually when ive seen Rockale perform, shes doing a song with Rmll that ive heard many times before, but last night she did her own music and she blew it out of the water. Not only is she a good lyricist but she can sang.. yes i said sang.. thats how you know she be blowing!
Cphr Dvn came on next and they had the always fantastic Dj Yared on the ones and twos mixing like no other. Sltr was killing it on the mic sanging and doing that good GrwnFlkMzk with Wize as always. When those two are on stage its like you can feel the good vibrations and you cant help but to just bop along to the music. i love when they do shows with Rmll because the whole overall show is always so good. They are in my top 3 favorite artist to watch live. :)
As for the man of the hour... man oh man. When he came on stage EVERYONE gravitated to the stage and was banging right along with him. He did a few songs off the mixtape (which is a free download on the website) last night, but the best song that he did to me was the song that he did with Ron Weaves called Fux with me. Ive been waiting to hear Ron Weaves spit for a long time, and to witness it live was the total highlight of the night. The energy on stage was nothing that could even be described, i dont know if it was because them Weaver boys was showing out so much or what, but that part of the night right there is a memory that i wont forget.. man watching the replay of the concert got me hype all over again. lol

yall go check out the feed from the show, go get ya free download.. who doesnt like free shit?!?! especially when the free shit is good?!? check it out RMLL MZK

the days before

This was to be posted monday jan 28, but its been busy around here..

Let me first start by saying this.. I now know how my mother feels
every year around the anniversary party. By anniversary party i mean
the annual party that my fathers motorcycle club has back home. Two
weeks leading up to the actual party are some of the most strenous
times with my father. He begins to worry, check and double and triple
check things, sometimes there is a little bit of attitude and
arguements in there sometimes as well. Let me tell you that a mixtape
release party is something similar to the anniversary party. Although
Mr. 2lls has been working away from home alot, the stress to meet the
deadline and have everything done has been an interesting journey. I
am happy to say that the mixtape has been finished in every sense of
the word despite set backs. The website is up and running and looking
good if i do say so myself. And the party is finally going to happen
this wednesday. I cant wait to see what the reaction of the crowd will
be to this release, from what ive heard so far, just off of the feed
back from shows that hes done, everyone is really digging his music.
Hopefully that will be reflected once the mixtape goes up on the
website and everyone starts downloading it.. where can one get this go
get this mixtape you ask? www.rmllmzk.com is the place to be.

2013 you are welcomed

2013 has turned out to be a busy and very productive month so far, and we are only 13 days in. Romell with 2 lls has began working on his web site and has set a date for his mixtape release party. So between the those two things, it has been a very busy month. But being busy means that progress is being made and things are starting to fall in place. Last weekend, he spent the weekend working on mixing and mastering the mixtape, this weekend it was the photo shoot to complete the website. starting jan 20th i do believe he web site will be fully functional with music that can be purchased, a live stream to events, and of course a link to this wonderful blog. When it goes live, trust it will be posted on here so that everyone can get the new music and keep up with what is going on and when the next event will be.

This weekend he was working with one of his producers to add a little more pizazz to one of the tracks, last night he had a show and today hes doing a little more mixing and mastering on the mixtape. The show last night was at a new venue here in the city. The Rainbow Cafe is a cool little spot here in louisville that you can  get a white chocolate coffee and cream cheese muffins while playing cards or board games and listening to live music. Last nights selection for live music was Cphr Dvn Romell wit 2 lls and Dj Yared. Naturally everyone rocked the crowd. You can see pictures from the event on Rainbow Cafe's facebook page. I love that the Rainbow Cafe is a family friendly venue and i was able to bring my son to the show. He love to see his daddy "do his music." Last night Jr decided that he had to do his music too and he decided he needed to be the hype man/back up singer to CPHR DVN. He was up there jammin out while they were performing and even helped Sltr sing part of the song. This will be a place that we will be going to again.

January 30th will be the day that we see all of the hard work and busy weekends pay off. That is the night that the Olde Coffee mixtape will be released. Its going to be a  Louisville Arts Live event on January 30 at Diamonds Bar at 630 Barret ave here in Louisville. If youre in the area, you need to be there! Live music and a free copy of the mixtape. Man its about to be so exciting!!
